The Business Academy

The Business Academy program offers students the opportunity to earn the necessary Carnegie units to obtain a high school diploma upon graduation and to prepare for post secondary education. Instruction is offered in Notary Public and Real Estate with eligibility to the parish Notary Public Examination and/or examination for Real Estate License. Students will learn how to prepare for careers in business in real estate. College bound students and those who want to enter the workforce directly after school can benefit from the from the course work and experiences. Academic learning is connected to the world of work. The community and local businesses become a learning laboratory where students extend and apply concepts taught in the classroom. The goal of this program is to empower students to be successful in the work place. The business academy program is designed to prepare  students to work efficiently in the business industry with emphasis on notary public an Real Estate. The program includes classroom instructions and computer lab experience under the supervision of the instructor. Classroom/Lab instruction includes history, professional image, law, ethics, economics, business management, technology in business, and career readiness. Practical skills are developed through assignments in the classrooms, which are equipped with the newest innovations in computer technology, and/or experience gained as intern/ work study.
